Voices Beyond Cardboards

Holistically Us, Inc. is proud to launch Voices Beyond Cardboard, a docuseries created to center the voices, stories, and lived experiences of unhoused members of our community. This project is rooted in the belief that awareness, humanity, compassion, and empathy can lead to meaningful action. By creating space for people to share their testimonies in their own words, Voices Beyond Cardboard seeks to challenge harmful narratives and encourage deeper understanding of homelessness.

 

This docuseries is the beginning of a broader movement to highlight voices that are often marginalized, overlooked, or misunderstood. Participants are paid for their interviews, and each conversation is guided by predetermined questions while allowing room for natural, respectful dialogue. Nothing is forced, and individuals are encouraged to share only what they feel comfortable telling. If a participant wishes to remain anonymous, arrangements can be made to protect their identity.

 

Voices Beyond Cardboard is also an opportunity for collaboration. Holistically Us is actively seeking partnerships with agencies, organizations, and community groups that believe in the power of storytelling and advocacy and want to help bring this project to life. The goal is to officially launch the docuseries in early 2026, and partnerships will play a vital role in helping this vision grow and reach a wider audience. In addition, Holistically Us is seeking unhoused members of the community who are willing to share their stories and become part of this movement. No story is insignificant, and no experience needs to meet a certain level of hardship to be worthy of being heard. Every voice matters.
