Holistically Us, Inc. is proud to present The Entrepreneurial Business Project, a strength and skills based program designed to support unhoused and impoverished members of the community through opportunity, empowerment, and sustainable income. This program creates space for individuals to share the skills, knowledge, and talents they already possess by hosting community-based classes led by them.

 

Participants in the program are given the opportunity to serve as instructors, offering classes centered on their existing abilities, crafts, or areas of expertise. Community members are invited to attend these classes for a small entry fee of five dollars, with all proceeds going directly to the instructor. By removing common barriers to traditional employment, the program allows individuals to earn income in a dignified and accessible way while being recognized for the value of their skills.

The Entrepreneurial Business Project is rooted in the belief that talents are compensable and that everyone deserves the opportunity to benefit from what they know and can create. Beyond financial support, the program also aims to help reignite a sense of purpose, confidence, and connection for instructors who may have felt isolated or overlooked. Homelessness and poverty can make individuals feel alone or disconnected from their sense of worth, but this program exists to affirm that those feelings are not the truth and that community support is present.

 

To support this initiative, Holistically Us has established The Entrepreneurial Business Fund to help build a working budget for the materials and supplies needed for courses as the program continues to grow. While Holistically Us is still in its early stages and actively building funding and infrastructure, community contributions play an important role in helping this project develop and expand. The organization also welcomes contributions of craft materials or other items that can be repurposed for classes, as well as individuals who are willing to support instructors by helping them strengthen or expand their existing skills. Through shared resources, time, and knowledge, community members can help others build confidence, advance their prospects, and move closer to sustainable self-sufficiency.
