Holistically Us, Inc. is working to relaunch Re:Connect, a support program that connects volunteers with unhoused members of the community for mutual aid, encouragement, and meaningful connection. This program was developed in response to the recognition that relational poverty, or the lack of supportive and consistent relationships, is a common and deeply impactful experience for individuals facing homelessness and instability.
Homelessness can be isolating and overwhelming, often leaving people feeling unseen or unsupported. Re:Connect exists to remind individuals that they are not alone and that there are people who care and are willing to walk alongside them. Through intentional connection and shared humanity, the program seeks to foster trust, dignity, and hope while building supportive relationships rooted in respect and compassion.
Re:Connect is currently seeking both volunteers and unhoused members of the community who are interested in participating. Volunteers serve as supportive peers, offering presence, encouragement, and connection rather than judgment or control. Those interested in learning more about the program or signing up are encouraged to reach out to Info@holisticallyus.org, where additional information and next steps will be provided.
Partnership With CoPeers

For individuals seeking a more structured and professionally guided healing experience, Holistically Us also partners with CoPeers, a program that connects participants with both a licensed therapist and a trained peer. Peers are individuals who have lived through significant life experiences, including mental health challenges, and who use their personal journeys to support others navigating similar paths. This model combines professional care with lived experience to foster healing, understanding, and empowerment.
Participation in either Re:Connect or the CoPeers partnership is entirely optional, and unhoused members are free to choose the path that feels most supportive for them. Holistically Us is committed to being person-centered and honoring individual choice, especially for those who may feel that control or autonomy has been lost due to life circumstances. We believe that people are the experts in their own lives and deserve the space and respect to decide what support looks like for them.
